Forum notifications - gone?

I noticed you removed the forum notifications? Why? And will they come back?

As the forum is currently under heavy load, we have decided to deactivate features which have a certain impact on the performance (like the forum notifications). Once the forum's performance is back on a reasonable level, the features will be enabled again.

Now that the forums have been moved to a new server, can notifications be turned on again? Right now it is almost impossible to find topics that one has been posted in.
