Is there an egosoft patreon or some donation area?

Post by wolvern » Mon, 19. Aug 19, 17:33

Was wondering cause egosoft is a good space game maker but i feel that if it had crowdfunding help on the side the games could be bigger and have more content or get done easier. I don't mind what mess has happened with games before but I could see how extra funding could also help as to bring more to the universe we love. We also see games being pushed out with bugs possibly cause funding is running low or otherwise but having that extra cash that fans can throw over could at least help with having more things finished at launch.

Well you could always buy any of their games that you don't have already.
A dog has a master; a cat has domestic staff.

I'm sure there are more worthy causes for you to blow your money on.

Egosoft charge for a product, they receive money for product.

Patreon... roflmao.

Yes and with the product, the money runs out to support it or continue working on it, you pay $80 which covers not even 1 persons worth of daily work meaning to be even profitable you need 2 copies per worker nearly per hour depending for that days worth of work. They have many and work over a year

So to be even borderline profitable at 9 hours a day with 20 people in a year
65,700 copies and thats with some building / software cost. At the minimum and I'd probably say 200,000 was their minimum target.

Why do you think they needed 4 of these games?

Buy the game (best on our store) and gift it to some lucky people. This makes everyone happy i guess :)

wolvern I wish one day I release some creative endeavour that generates as much fanatical devotion that people are willing to throw money at me for their already paid for product. Maybe I should get into writing smut full time.

Jesus this is why £500 loot boxes exist. Because people buy them.
