Your word / phrase of 2019?

For me I think it's "cognitive dissonance".
I can't breathe.

"Dunning Kruger Effect" seems to be all the rage these days.

Personally I prefer the much older expression "Empty vessels make most noise" or even the American word "blowhard" but neither of
those are backed up by scientific studies.

In my case it would be a choice from 'Brexit confusion' (UK), 'Political shenanigans' (global), or 'What year is it again?' (personal - I am getting old).

"Trumpanzie" - a former republican that has sworn fealty to the Orange Overlord and that has embraced neo-fascism and racism but whines and cries when called out for racism. Most frequently found flinging poo at news reporters and democrats and screaming "fake news" when reality attempts to make contact.

Gotta be the following, a single word and a phrase
(Both contain a swear, so out of respect for the profanity filter I'll put it in spoilers and * out a letter):
Spoiler
Show
Word: Catastrof*ck
Phrase (from a German headline, guess what it refers to): Der große clusterf*ck der Tories
