Another old timer emerges. RustiSwordz returns to say hello.
Hi guys. Been a looong time. Different name as you can see some reason I lost the details of the old one. No matter.
Just want to say upfront I have mellowed a lot since those early days of the Egosoft forums. I had a bit of a rep. However, I have come to the conclusion to simply not argue online anymore. We all have different feelings about things and I'm nearly 50 now and way too past it to set the world straight. I do feel the world has taken a big yeet off the looney tree and hit every branch on the way down in the past few years but perhaps the world has always been like it.
I used to enjoy doing X-Universe fan artwork and some mod designs for DeadlyDa back in the days of X3. I still enjoy doing art, have done a lot more since the old days. I'll pop in a link below.
My health has taken a dive. Back in '13 I was in hospital after an accident which resulted in a lot of surgery on my right leg. They fixed it and I recovered but I have had mobility complications since then. Walk with a stick, lost both jobs I had. Corona virus means any further therapy and corrective surgery has been cancelled until this crisis has been dealt with whenever. There you go.
See a few old timers have appeared on off topic again. Howmany of the old guard is left?
I remember, Cappedup, Abyss, LV, Avis (I still speak to Avis now and again.) Grimm. Whathappened to those guys? I went over to Elite for a long time, I'm bored of that now. NMS is fun the ground element is fun but the design work is uninspired. Not played Star Citizen yet. I am eyeing up X4F. Been playing X3R again and forgot how much I loved it especially modded.
There you go thats where I am ATM. Stay safe everyone.

Hi and welcome back.

Thanks mate. Haha, I'm in middle age mode ATM. I just shake my head and walk off. I'm a long way off grumpy old git mode yet.Alan Phipps wrote: ↑Tue, 31. Mar 20, 21:49Hi and welcome back.

I remember you Rusty! I remember you did tend to get stuck in to arguments (as did I).
Glad to hear you're still kicking. Well... maybe not kicking

Hey Rug,
I'm doing pretty good cheers. It's incredible to think when I opened this account I was a teenager playing X games in my parents house. Now I'm in my early 30s and have a career and everything!

Hey Rusti....still here off and on more off than on, but now X4 is out, I find myself searching a bit
I remember the last time you were here, you were remarking how well you could land your Elite ship on its nose
