Barnes Wallace would have been able to tell you.
It has been done before as the second video in that link will show you.

It was less the bouncing / skimming ball I was impressed by than the combination of the bouncing / skimming ball and reading the curve of the slope well enough to hole it.
I can't breathe.

I'm not so sure that he masterfully read the slope than that he lucked out massively, personally...RegisterMe wrote: ↑Wed, 11. I think I'd argue that the difference between a professional, or master, or... pick your own word, and a rank amateur like me is that they manage to maximise the "space" where they don't rely on luck, and with the remainder of that "space" they maximise the chances of luck breaking their way.pjknibbs wrote: ↑Wed, 11. On top of that, they probably know by name every square of grass around the hole.RegisterMe wrote: ↑Wed, 11. And the fact that they would name grass is just the sort of thing that makes golf the most boring thing everBrasatoAlBarolo wrote: ↑Wed, 11. It's been said for more than a hundred years that golf is a nice walk, spoiled.
