Re: Rtx3060 laptop
Moving from an RTX 3050 ti mobile to an RTX 3060 mobile will not make a significant difference to performance. Moving to a RTX 4070 mobile will.
Some visual settings of X4 are not really intended to be maxed out, at least with currently existing hardware. Volumetric fog is one such setting, with the highest levels even challenging the best GPUs in some scenes. It is also one of those settings that you get most of the effect even with it enabled at its lower levels, so not being able to max it out usually does not matter.
Antialiasing really depends on the type of antialiasing used and your output resolution. 1080p you should be able to manage 2x or 4x AA with a bit of setting optimisation.

Re: Rtx3060 laptop
From what I have seen in this forums topics and people talking about Desktop CPUs, AMD X3d CPU with a lot of L3 Cache are really good for X4 ..
And ASUS released one recently in a new laptop, I found my next machine (compair with my current spec in my signature) https://www.theverge.com/23840504/asus- ... ice-review
It also has Nvidia RTX 4090 GPU.
At the moment though its a bit pricey. I'm going to be like a Greyhound race dog salivating in the trap for the rabbit going by, waiting until I can afford one
For various reasons I dont want a desktop, my current laptop runs the game really well if I restrict myself in Fleet sizes and how many stations I build. So this new ASUS machine is now my goal for X4, it will probably come down below half its current price in the next year or two.

The Tech Support forum is for people having issues with the game. Questions about potential hardware purchases are not Tech Support issues, and belong in the Off Topic forum.Caldari Navy wrote: ↑Sat, 21.
