I agree. I'll download this once it has those functions. Thanks Cympcribeiro wrote:Hey Cycrow what about 3 keys for...Cycrow wrote: New Update available: V1.10
Added 4 new hotkeys
Includes:
- Attack...: Attacks your current target. If you change targets, they will continue to attack the first selected target
- Protect...: Protects your current target. The wing will continue to escort your current target if they are not an enemy
- Idle: The wing will idle in the sector, randomly flying around
- Standby: The wing will stop dead in space and wait for a new command
"attack all and dock"
"attack my target and dock"
and simply key for "dock" the wing
Cheers

Woah. This might be exactly what I needed!
The story so far...
Well, almost. Desperately needs a dock key, so that we can hit a key to launch the fighters into battle, then hit a key to dock them when we're done! (Ie I'm looking for proper Carrier launched fighter wing hotkey support)
Regardless, excellent work! Your mods continue to supply what should have been in the box to begin with!

I've just got a couple questions about your script
If you read the actual wings script it says:
Arguments
* 1: WING , Var/Wing , 'wing'
* 2: target , Var/Ship/Station , 'target'
Buttt, if you read your hotkey scripts it uses:
START $wing -> wing command COMMAND_WING_ATTACK : arg1=$target, arg2=null, arg3=null, arg4=null
By any chance, does the start wingcommand, some how automatically make THIS (i.e "$wing ->" in this case) into the first wing argument - or something?

I hope Cycrow does not mind, but I have added a few of the commands asked for in this thread. If there are any complaints, I will take this down. This was more or less my first attempt at scripting, and was a bit of a learning experience.
Dock at Homebase will instruct the wing dock at it's homebase - make sure this is set in the wing control console.
Follow Me is self explanatory... the wing will follow the playership.
Attack All will launch the wing with the command "Attack All".
I didn't bother with an undock command as either follow me or Idle will do the job.
.spk is up Here. All of Cycrow's commands are included, so just need to remove the old package and install this one.

hey cycrow there are 2 scripts/commands related to repair laser/factory mod id really apprecitae if u cld write for me/others as ive been trying to do it myself and failed then tried to get the person who originally wrote repair mod but the main thread seems to be inactive.. the third attempt was posting my own threads asking for help and no one replies so im at a loss...
anyway the scripts seem simple enought (i think)
one is for wing commands, it being in 'special' and along the lines of repair all ships in sector and another saying repair target ship.
and the other as a turret command so i can set my repair ships turrets to 'repair friendly' instead of protect (stops my ships from repairing enemies when under attack ;s
if u cld even give me any help lol id greatly appreciate it.

[BUG]???
When using the hotkeys to for instance tell a wing of fighters docked at homebase to defend or attack someone, the homebase command "return home" will not work.
It is as if the new wing commands always take priority...
I have a M7 filled with fighters, all those fighters are in one wing. I have that M7 follow me to assist. And when i need help i just issue a wing command through the hotkeys to tell em to defend me. However, when they are done i wish to tell em to go home by clicking on the M7 and issue the return home command....but noting happens and the wing continue to "protect me" etc.
Is this as intended?

Ok, this is strange.
I added a vidar and my personal heavy dragon to gold formation. Used the wing hotkeys to give gold formation order to dock at a station. Both the vidar and my dragon then get the order "move in formation" and dock at the mentioned station. Wanted to check if the wing command could use the adv. jumpdrive. apperantly it didnt, as the vidar, which was in a different sector started to manually fly through sectors to get there...
Anyways, the problem is that i am unable to terminate the command. wing hotkey idle doesnt work, if i enter the command console and choose stop command, the command stops, but after 2-3 s both the vidar and the heavy dragon (which i am sitting in btw) start to resume the move in formation command.....So basically, i am stuck, and i can not issue any commands to jet dragon i am sitting in,...........removing the ship from the wing was the only way to resolve it.
It is as if the wing hotkey command takes precedence over every other command ( new inputs aswell), until the wing command is executed.

this is nothing to do with the hotkeys.
all the hotkeys do is invoke the standard wing commands.
and yes, the wing commands do this.
you cant order individual ships, as the wing commands will override it.
althou not sure y the idle hotkey isn't work as that should.
another way is to go into the wing command console and set the command to none.
the stop command shortcut from the context menu is sending the command to the ship, not the wing.
an issue that will be resolved in the next game patch, nothing u can do about it right now
