Won't it mess up other mods now?
Do you have any recommendation which things to turn on in IR to work it fine with XRM? I know that this is not the point if this topic, but I just wonder :-)

Now that you say it, there are indeed five vanilla scripts changed within the CAG package:

!ship.cmd.follow.pl.pck
!ship.cmd.moveposition.std.pck
!ship.signal.killed.pck
!station.cmd.profittransfer.pl.pck
plugin.autotrade.movepilotcheck.pck

If either of these are changed by the mods you have installed, then this could cause problems. (Especially, the first three are likely candidates.) Can't really help with XRM or IR though, as I've never played them. I would suggest to check or ask in their topics, whether they are compatible with the CAG.

Script Assistance Request - CAG (Forum won't let me reply to CAG thread)

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to use this script : http://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php? ... sc&start=0

and I'm having trouble. It won't let me post a reply. I click "Post reply" or "Reply" to someone elses comment and it just takes me to the index.

I'm trying to get my Headquarters stocked with enough materials to build Hyperion Vanguards, so...

1. I use Dockware manager to limit the amount of goods of the types to the amounts I need. i.e if the Hyperion requires 718 of sometime I put in 718.
2. I setup several ships to be Commercial Agents. (Tested 1-4). Used "Trade List" and input all the types of materials I needed (and some guns and ammo etc).
3. No commercial agent will purchase Energy Cells.
4. Having read the CAG thread twice I determined maybe it thought these were intermediate and required a "Trader" level CAG not an "Apprentice" Level CAG.
5. Assigned my Trader CAG to the appropriate trade list.
6. This CAG also refuses to procure Energy Cells.

Station has space.
Station has money.
Station is 11k units below its Dockware limit.
All other products are being procured correctly (albeit slowly).
All items all CAGs are collecting are from the adjacent systems complex, so the pickup station is definitely in trade range (1j).

I'd really appreciate some advice. The energy cells are substantial and manual hauling of them will kill me.

Edit sorta : Actually while I ask, some of the CAGs won't collect stuff. I'm currently at 414 microchips, it's set to collect up to 718 or something like that and none of the CAGS will go and get them. The station next door has them available. Any advice on that also would be great, thank you.

Put Dockware limit a bit higher than what you need:
if you need 718 set it to 1000
CAG only buy if you are below 80% of the limit with it's default settings.

Do you mean where it says under "Trade Duties" "Purchase Resources" "x%"?

Because I have that set to 100% and also "Purchase Intermediate Resources" at 100%.

33000 energy cells is way below the 50000 I have set. They still will not be bought.

Similarly the same traders also seem to buy things erratically, or not at all.

Edit : Now it's buying Teladianium (set to 1200) despite there being 7000 units already....

Forget it. I'll do it manually. I can't make CAG's work. :evil:

are there other resources with higher priority?
You can either declare a block or a trade list of wares make sure you used the rigth edition.
also cag has a debuglog, which would be checked for additional information.

If posting still doesn't work try the quote button as workaround, as this button will link to the reply page, too, just delete the quote. :wink:

I think that's your answer for "Trade list" or "Black List".

There are no resources with higher priorities. Even with the traders set exclusively to CAG for Energy Cells they still won't be imported.

This is with them set to "Purchase Resources".

As I said in my last post... my CAG just bought 1000 teladianium, limit is 1135, current stock is 7000+. Dockware manager limit that is.

I'll just abandon the whole project and find a different way, thanks anyway.

Dunno how active this topic still is but if anyone could help...

I'm ok with editing scripts but appalling at formula, all i want to do is change the plugin.com.agent.auto.price script to charge minimum price at 90% of cargo space instead of 100%

for the life of me i cant see which 100 to change lol.

Any help would be appreciated.

I just spent maybe 6 hours trying to figure out why my CAG was on standby.

I have a BoFu complex in queens retribution. 2 bogas and 2 bofu factories. I have 2 CAGs in there.

- Over 4 000 000 in station funds
- Cags set to default
- Prices set to default average (no matter what I set them to, the cags will not sell bofu)
- Energy more than half full

Observations:
- CAGs don't sell BoFu
- The only BoFu that gets sold is sold to NPC traders
- Once BoGas goes over 80%, cags will sell bogas
- When told to sell at best price (aka classic mode), they sell as normal but then end up selling to... see spoiler


SOLUTION:
Spoiler contains plot related stuff that is interfering with cag:

Set a Cag block on the xenon hub that you get from the plot. My hub had no money (41credits) but the autoseller kept supplying it for some reason.

Hub is connected to queens retribution as per the plot requirements.
As soon as I set the block, my cags started selling bofu.

I googled for this, searched forums, everything. May this help the next guy.

I'm really sorry for the thread necromancy.... But this does seem to be the correct thread for the CAG plugin.

I'm stuck / confused (Which is quite normal for me.)

I'm playing X3AP Vanilla (just with the Bonus Pack installed.)

I cannot for the life of me work out how to keep my weapons complexes funded with enough cash for the supply ships to buy the resources required for manufacturing.

1) I go into the complex command console, pick a command slot that is set to "none" - All the commands are none / inactive in fact.
2) I pick option 5 (Administration (Commercial Agent.))
3) I select Station Settings.
4) Then Money Transfer.
5) Now this is where i'm getting stuck;

For whatever reason, I can't seem to work out how to setup the station so that it takes money from my main player account. No settings seem to make any difference.

Would anyone know what's wrong, or how to setup properly?

I am using the Commercial Agent through the Bonus Plugin and some of my complexs work fine with it but I have a stand alone factory using one and no matter what I do it only buys 40 energy cells every time. The factory has 25000 with 5000 free and the ship has empty cargo but even if i reset it it always buys 40 ecells . Please advise as been away from the games so long i might be doing something wrong, thanks for your time :?
