Hey Guys,

I had enabled Pirate Guild 3 and after leaving my ships trading away the pirates setup shop at the edges of Ore Belt and ended up decimating the Ore refineries, so the sector is almost useless. Is that right?

Not quite sure what I'm doing wrong. I've followed the instructions, downloaded the X Plugin Manager, Which is telling me everything is properly enabled, and yes I do have the correct directory. But it keeps telling me that the .xml is not found, and I can't find it either. Where did I screw up?

I've been playing with this for a few hours, seems like a great pack of mods and it's running well. I was wondering if mine is properly installed though - the instructions on page 2 of this thread suggest turning on the Yaki and pirate guilds in AI settings, but I don't have those options.

I know this is propably easy to do, but I feel confused a little, that is why I want to be sure. Do you have a facebook or something maybe where I could ask you more frequently? Of course if you have time and will for that.
I assume that you have enabled the "Modified" flag for your X3 installation (in the Settings menu of Plugin Manager).
But you better should use an installation path that doesn't contains space in it, it may break the install scripts (rename your directory 'C:/x3 terran conflict' to 'C:/X3TC' eg.)

Once it's done, then download the xXRM10.zip and extract it somewhere (here again, no space to directory path), please read carefully the second post of the thread for the instructions : you have to download the XRM and Resurection files and put it to the _DOWNLOADS folder.

Then, edit the _X3AP_PATH_.bat file : it's here you will find the line (7th line) where is set the variable X3AP_PATH. This variable tells to the scripts where is your target X3 directory, so where they have to install all the mods.
So, in your case, you have to change the line to have :
set X3AP_PATH=C:/x3 terran conflict
or, if you've renamed your folder as I told you :
set X3AP_PATH=C:/X3AP


Sadly i have a Problem here.

I cant open the _X3AP_PATH_ to set the correct Path.
On the other Hand i can open The 01_SETUP_ but if i try to type set X3AP_PATH=C:/X3AP, i instantly closing the widow once i press any button. Can please Someone help me? :(

You have to edit the .bat file to set the X3AP_PATH variable.
Right click on the file, then select the "Open with" entry, and then select a text editor like the windows notepad to edit the file.
Notepad++ is the best text editor in my opinion.
Double-clicking on .bat file just will execute the script it contains.

Got it installed, took almost a 1 minute to finishing loading the AI/scripts in background when starting a new game.
I don't even recognize the PAC firing sound effects and animations anymore...:lol:

I know there is long list of mods/scripts involved but perhaps you can highlight which are the critical scripts/mods that needs to be configured/setup first upon starting a new game, eg. Yaki Armada, Pirates Guild :D

I suggest you activate first yaki-then pirate-guild . the othter ones i would activate later , when you have a solid base...

hey I have been using this package in my game for over 3 days of playtime and everything seemed to be working properly however in the last two days of play i suddenly noticed warez that were not named correctly. I ignored it at first but as i have put so many hours in i just wanted to ask if anyone has idea what is wrong or what i have done wrong.

for instance i am currently docked in rhonkars fire at the military outpost and it has a ware in goods called ZA_EMP_BLANK_WARE_CUSTOM1.1 and its cost is 17 million, the most money I have had at this point is 1 mill so i wont be buying it any time soon :D oh and it is red so i guess i dont even have the rep yet anyway.

I used the pluging manager advanced v.1.531 if that has any bearing.

Did I do something wrong?

can I fix it?

currently have 3 days and 1 hour on this save it would break my heart to have to restart. that is actual playtime, I never use seta to make money)

I have noticed nothing else so far except occasionally the game pauses and the screen goes blank for a second then the game continues normally. happens very rarely but does happen. I just put it down to using AMD 2700x cpu.

any ideas, i did not test with the cycrow cheat thing suggested, the game seemed just fine. I guess maybe I should have listened.

having taken a look at the small part of the universe i have uncovered (just been hanging round aladna hill) it might just be that one ware i see that is wrong, i just may have seen it several times.

actually no, i see another in the encyclopedia ZA_EMP_BLANK_WARE_CUSTOM16_13 says something about transporting marines oh and its 17million so i guess it is the same ware as above.

part of me thinks at some point this ware was named correctly as its weird I only just noticed it, i have used split docks a lot and it sure stands out. unfortunately i have only recent saves so i cant check my theory.

Mmhh, when you started did you get a message in the right corner of screen like "All wares created"?

I àm not at my gaming pc , so i can not help much...
Are those 2 the only wares without names or more??

Edit : Ok, i just install all and i have also the entry "ZA....".in the Military Outpost in Rhonkars Fire. :o
I have no idea why!

I guess we have to hope that michtoen will come online soon or one of the others experts in the forum can help us....

Edit 2: Home at gaming PC , i had to reinstall, this time pure LxXRM , no Live-mod ; and i used 03Install.bat two times;
this time all is labeld correct ,no ZA... Entrys.

Hi thanks for your help although i do not know what you mean, live mod??

I have noticed if i view the ware from another system, ie if I am in ceo`s buckzoid for instance and I view the stock of rhonkars fire military base remotely it is listed correctly, it is only when I am there that it shows incorrectly.

If i try to do what you suggest will it break my save?? I have been playing hard and now have over 4days real time invested.

Yes they are currently the only warez I have seen that are incorrect although I only have about 40 systems revealed at the moment, mostly split/teladi with a few argon.

I did go into a boron sector but they sent a fleet after me :mrgreen:

Live is a good mod,but not recommended for LxXRM.
I would not install new , cause you know what it is.

Do you think the warez not being named correctly will become a problem? or is there a chance I can get away with it as it is.

Still seems to be working correctly and i have 6 full days invested into it now.

One annoying issue i have found is everytime i am attacked by any ship named privateer, ie boron privateer mako, after i have defended myself the police in sector go red and comms doesnt allow me to say sorry.

i have -3 standing to boron

I have reloaded saves and it is repeatable every time, can be annoying when suddenly the argon military colossus goes red when all i am doing is fighting an aggressor.

still having fun , just thought id mention it to see if i am doping something wrong

EDIT ok I decided to create another install, I think i did everything the same but this time I ran the bat file twice like taylor suggested and now the ware is named correctly.

Now the big question is will my save work on this instal.....guess i will find out :gruebel:

The error with the "ZA..." name of one ware had come to me after 2 InGameDays again.
But it is not so bad , as the description is ok for that thing and you can use it.

One Question : Have anybody offer you a story quest in your save ?

Tipp : When using Codea and you want assign a LT to an M6 , the M6 has to follow the Ship with the personal on it in order to transfer the LT.

hey taylor, I created a complete second install but just using your suggestion of running the bat twice.

Then I loaded my save in the new game, and after 24hours of playing all seems well and no misnamed objects. (i backed up my saves just before but I think its good)

A story quest? hmmn the otas asked me for help and I have done a few missions for them.
Then lasdt night I found omnicron lyraie and they wanted terrans escorted, but I was too busy wondering why my tm`s were causing the military to come after me.

LT?? i cant remember what that is atm, thanks for the tip though i will look into it.

Oh no, I just reread your post....it came back....oh man it was all for nothing lol

Glad you saved the saves. :lol:
The LT is the Leutant , for Codea.
You start training Recruts in M5,M4 or M3 till they reach Leutnant.
Then you have to transfer them to M6 or other higher ships and to do so he M6 have to follow the TM with
the Codea Personal, a little tricky.
Good to know , that the Plot-Missions start :)
The thing with this 17Mio "ZA.." is weird , sometimes the text is good , like " Boarding Pod..." ,
next time " ZA .. " is back.
But it is a minor problem , since the description is right and it is functional. :roll:
