Any ideas how we will be controlling capital ships in X-R (beyond giving commands to the captain)?
I'm hoping it might be something akin to Homeworld 2's navigation method (i.e. select the target location on a big 3D map) rather than just 'turn left' and 'turn right' and such.
Any other ideas/hopes?

I would love a homeworld-style control mechanism. That would be the best, and it works really well in 3D.
Another option could be something like SOTS, but they would have to simplify combat to 2D. It would remove a lot of strategy.
Hum... I can't think of any others, and I cannot think of any 3D control mechanism superior to homeworld...

Nor me, I don't think I would mind even if it was an improved version of the old sector map (with the sector cam and full 360 views of course) just a bit easier to use during a battle.caleb wrote:I cannot think of any 3D control mechanism superior to homeworld...
