Actually, played X2/X3. But never waited for their release. Just noticed when they were released, and played them.

Tell me about it, I am a new player when it comes to the X Universe (Having only played X2: The Threat and X3: Reunion off and on over the years), but man I just can't wait to finally be able to play X-Rebirth after 3 months of waiting.

Steam faked me out it's moved to the new releases list but still hasn't unlocked.

3 months? More like 2 years! Rebirth was supposed to be released in December 2011, but we've got AP instead.

In one hour i have to go to a meeting that was announced 30 minutes ago. After that i have to attend to a social event so i guess it'll be tomorrow i get to play it. Life is cruel :(

Yeah I recall hearing about that delay, I had heard about the game back in December but hadn't decided to pre-order it yet, I kept checking more and more into X-Rebirth and slowly but surely I started getting excited for it from the videos and interviews.

I've been setting up since like 12:30 waiting for steam to unlock the game, not to mention it's getting very cold here, lol...This is the only game I've ever set up like this for, but I have a feeling it'll all be worth it.

oh well 5 hours to go.. 5? sigh..

add 30 minutes to get back home, 3 minutes to purchase a pizza, 1 minute to throw the pizza in the oven, 10 minutes for the pizza to be edible..
1 minute to eat the pizza *burp*
and i should be ready to play :P
no washing play plaay play only! :oops:

I'm stuck with slow download speeds on Steam, might have to wait another 12 hours! Oh well, I'll continue obliterating Terrans on AP in the meantime...

I am still a bit skeptical about some stuff in Rebirth, the single playership still being a big negative for me (think about how captain Kirk and commander Adama would feel to be parted with their Enterprises and Galacticas...) and I also hope the Steam trouble and hefty price tag will be worth it. Still, being a X junkie for many years, no matter what the positives and negatives or the trouble to obtain it, I can never wait to play a new X game!

Oh yes, and I am on leave for another week and a half! there goes social life and/or sleep again...

I'm still waiting for my key to be delivered from OKS, but I'm hopeful... listening to the X Rebirth soundtrack on spotify - really really loud!
My favourite memory of the X series was babysitting that TL across half the universe in XTension and finally arriving in Getsu Fune to be gifted the TL! I called her Big Bad Orca...

Cruel? I am working til 3, will get home at 3.30, have dinner, play game from 4, have to collect brother at 5.30, then have footy and then see the Gf, then tomorrow i have work, then have to go see the christmas lights being turned on and then see GF and work until 3 on sunday.

The Moral of this post, Life is cruel, i will get 90 mins play time then have to wait almost 48 hours beofre i play again, talk about life being teasing & cruel :(

Don't forget to come back and post your initial feelings about the game, for us that have our fingers hovering over the buy button.
