Deliver The Captain: Can't find dock

I'm doing the start mission Deliver the Captain but have spent the last forty five minutes trying to find a way to dock with the ship. I'm sure I've mouse clicked on every square inch of that ship and found nothing.

Head to the front of the ship, inside the opening there's an item you can interact with that lets you dock.

Just as Legionaire said. You dock with large ships in the same way you dock with stations. Rohanas docking area is the hangar bay in the front. You should see the icon.

I sat there for forty minutes trying to interact with anything and everything, the dock option just didn't show up... given I can dock at stations its not as if I'm missing the option, it simply wasn't there.

I'll try again after work tonight...

that's because the genius (sarcasm) design of UI in x rebirth
you can only see a tiny icon when you are directly in front of the ship and can view the docking area with drone launcher, then you have to *double* click on the icon itself, nothing else to bring up the dock command......
