how many freaking solar power plants do i need?

Post by jbrookins3 » Fri, 14. Mar 14, 01:24

I'm using complex cleaner so my numbers are i guess representative of one small factory

chip plant=50
argnu beef=100
meat steaks=100
silican wafers=50
energy cells=400

commercial agent says everything is fine except energy cells, it says im producing 0 and consuming 4970.338. i know im producing something i have solar power plants
is commercial agent broken or does it have something to do with using crystal free power plants? [/img]

removing primary ressources from factories dramatically decreases their Product output - they still produce, but its iirc less than 10% compared to with primary ressources (not sure about the exact number, but it varies depending on product type)
if not stated otherwise everything i post is licensed under WTFPL

Ich mache keine S&M-Auftragsarbeiten, aber wenn es fragen gibt wie man etwas umsetzen kann helfe ich gerne weiter ;)

I wont do Script&Mod Request work, but if there are questions how to do something i will GLaDly help ;)

This calculator can be very handy if you're looking to see supply/demand for a complex.

I always feel the EC part of the economic model is just plain broken. The requirements become absurdly vast if you ever want somethings larger than a small number of stations type corporation.

While you can cheat to remove the resource component is can then just cause a cascade effect of not producing enough of the things you need for other stations. Instead I find the best option if to use the cheat menu for one or perhaps two power plants, and tell it to keep them constantly stocked. This means you will always have 50,000 EC in a XL plant. If you feel this is just too much of a cheat then make sure you never sell EC.

This method will allow you to truely build an empire without the need for constant micromanagement of the EC loop.

If you are using Gazz's Complex Cleaner and Serial Kicked's Anarkis Crystal Free SPP there are instructions on Serial Kicked's page how to get them to work together so you get maximum resource output from crunched factories.

If you're using the Complex Cleaner mod/script, and want to add a crystal free SPP to your complex. Please proceed as follow (in that order):
1. Crunch the SPP into its CC format
2. Run the crystal remover script
3. Connect the SPP to the complex with a complex construction kit.

I'm always wondering why I have to produce ecells in a complex to energize the factories that are linked. I would use a very old-fashioned technic called cable :D
