Camera view mod to remove my ship from UI

Hi.

I've been playing X3 Terran Conflict Xtended and flying a Mercury hauler but it is frustrating that about 1/5 of the screen is taken up with the ship. There are a lot of other ships that also take up a lot of the screen.

What I would like to do is change it so that the camera view is at the front of the ship ie my ship is not part of the UI, but I have no idea how to do this. I'm a complete noob at modding so step by step instructions would really help.
