[2.51] HUD Bug with Albion Skunk Target at 0m

Hello,

During normal flight or dogfights, I have my own ship apear as a target in front of me (at 0 meter distance). It becomes the soft target and prevents any fighting as it stays in the middle of the HUD, and draws weapons/missiles/commands targeting.

It sometimes disapears, sometimes gets in the way. Is it my computer that is too slow (2.8GHz CPU), or is it game related?

Known issue already reported to devs. Some previous causes for this happening have been fixed already but some issues still remain for further work after 2.51.

Can confirm have seen this - usually when I have played for a while.
Comes and goes, have not been able to reproduce consistently.

I'm finding that I'm only seeing the bug where the targeting computer targets the skunk when I'm in very sparsely populate sectors. Generally only in nearly empty parts of of Devries and Maelstrom where there are very few targets to lock on to.

For me it mostly happens when I boost between zones, some times I cannot be bothered to fly around so I backtrack following the highway to the zone using boosters.

Changing cockpit seemed to fix this for me, go figure...

Interesting point raised by werewolves?. I always swap to the "blue moon" combat cockpit as soon as I have the cash, and I have never witnessed this bug.

What type cockpits are people using who have this bug?
