Hi
In older versions of XTM I heard players saying that number of ships was decreased a lot to get better performance. Also remember someone was complaining that it was few traders left flying around causing problems with buying and selling.

Is this still the situation in latest version of XTM 0.7.5?

I love many ships flying around making the game feel alive, but if only ships that actually dont have any ingame purpose/task except from flying around, I have np if only those have been removed.

IIRC XTM has an option to eliminate those NPC-ships that are in the game for 'colour', as Spacefly Hunters, furniture delivery, Casino, Hospital ships, taxis ans do on. Can't remember any option to reduce the number of traders/sector defence or the like. In other words: XTM does not reduce the traders 'by default'.
I don't think that you would need those options (if they exist) nowadays as the CPUs of modern PCs are much more performant than those several years ago.

Ok thats good to know.
Just to more clear, when you say as an option, you mean that XTM by default will not reduce ships that are ingame for "color"?

He wants more NPCs, not less. He feared XTM would - by default - reduce the number of NPC-ships :)

That file is no longer good. RapidShare says file not found. I am desperately wanting/needing more NPC's for my economy to boom a little and to not feel so comfy. I mean common all i have is a re-produced Hyperion, a Cerberus, about 8 argon Eclipse and nothing can touch me in the game. Of course i could go into a xenon or kha'ak sector but i thought that they were supposed to come to me and other races, all that aggression hype; i'm kind of let down.

sale of avarice in x3 reunion

is there any spacific place or time i can buy Avarice in x3 reunion? it is now up to 205 billion now and i still have no option to bid on it, i have x reunion version 2.5 installed via steam, xtm 0.7.4, thing i had installed the 0.7.5 package i got 0.7.4...cant find any more newer XTM versions, have the HQ and factories already placed in the sector. Confused

now have avarice at last lol, 870,000,000 it costed.

another thing i am wondering is the fact i havent seen any T2 destroyers in game from the time i started playing, capped a destroyer, carrier, frigate, m, n, l, xl and corvette already.... think just the T2 left.

Iirc those beasts do only appear after some time and in a limited number of sectors.
Have you ever been in the sectors deep in south-east where the Split have a last outpost ? There I encountered such an incredible F2-Kha'ak ship. It was frightening considering I was in a Pirate Mamba Raider :mrgreen:

Lol I'm flying the yaught of pontifex I was origionally able to get them from a sector I think was called kaos mistake

Xtended has put me in a pickle! I am towing the Pontificus ship back through the second unknown sector and there is a whole family of Sohnen ships waiting for me when I come out of the gate.

This includes a Sohnen Seth which has gigajules of shields and is so nasty I am scared just typing this!

What can I do to get around these guys? If I leave the Pontificus and try to setup laser towers or ambush them they aren't there. They just appear when I am towing the pontificus.

What is the best strategy to get around this nightmare?!

That doesnt sound right to me? Although I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong.

If I remember right, I am sure you are meant to be ambushed a couple of times whilst towing the yacht to safety, but I think its meant to be Pirates, not the Sohnen.

I don't remember such a nightmare. But basically you can fight the Sohnen ships as you would do with any other threat: Before entering the sector put some M2s at the gate, Lasertowers or whatever you think it might be enough for eliminating the Sohnen-threat.
Save, and then go back to tow the Pontifex'Maximus-yacht through that gate. After the passage it might be useful to jump into one of your heavy shielded ships to be able to attack the strongest Sohnen-ship manually.

This is my fouth time through the plot, but I don't have enough credits for M2s.. I guess I will have to build up some cash first.

There are 9 Sohnen ships.

Turns out I went though the wrong gate getting that M7 back - I ended up in a sector called "Last Frontier" which had some sort of glowing orb as a Sohnen base.

I took about 35 laser towers on a fully loaded Titan and we both blasted all oft the ships until I realized what an idiot move I made.

Well, it was still very fun and now I have that M7 again!

Thanks for the replies - they had me thinking that I had done something wrong and sure enough I did!

I have learnt from it that you can even parry those fearsome Sohnen-ships with a bunch of LTs. I have never made this experience by myself. Goot to know :)

Hi Ive being play Xtended for some years now and I always get to the part where I have to get the blueprints for the Valhalla but never can get them even if I use the player HQ and am wondering if I can get some help because I can't continue of with the plot and I have finished the main plot and have a larger amount of resources at my disposal so if some can help I would appreciate it
