At last I have been able to get the experimental jump drive. I am now told to test it and jump to a jump gate, but it doesn't tell me how??
Is there a key I have to press? I have tried pressing different keys without success.

That's how it worked in the older games, but they went with something slightly different this time- you open the regular map, find the jump gate or jump beacon you want to jump to, then select it, and at the bottom of the map, you'll see one of the options is now "Jump"- IIRC, number 4...
