ETA until X Rebirth 4.10 is Available on GOG?

We've submitted the update to them and are just waiting for them to release it. I'm afraid I don't know how long they take for these things, but I don't suppose it will be long.

I have a GOG version and a Steam version.

I just downloaded the 4.10 exe from the official egosoft site and pasted that into the root of the X rebirth GOG installation. When I launch the game the version number shows up correctly and the game runs with the new exe.

Wasn't that how it was supposed to be?

If you only copied the NoSteam EXE file then you haven't got the whole update as some of it is in other files. You would be better off getting the full update from GOG. I also suggest you don't make savegames with a half-patched game, as they may not work correctly when you sort your installation out properly.
