Thanks to Exscriptor program I've just found that this script collides with LV's Deathmatch Arena. They both use ware number 13203.

This scripts adds the Advanced Thruster Control in that slot, while DMA adds Wormhole Jump Generator in the same slot.

In my case, DMA has taken preference.

I see that all T-files except 44 have a different ID for the ware: 10733.

I've changed 44 to that ID and reinstalled. It's OK now, I could fix the reference once inside the game, as Advanced Thruster Control already appeared inside the Script Editor.

I had the ZA_etc problem, also. Looked up the setup script in Exscriptor and noticed that it was referring to a Ware with ID 13083, but the Ware mentioned in 7540-L044.xml was 13203/13204. Changed it to 13083/13084 in the xml and it fixed it.

Looks like this script isn't being supported.
Tried the fixes by alexfighter and nairax with no love, tho I'm admittedly no scripter. All I get is the ZA_#@%$# in Boron EQ, at the same price as the Advanced Nav software. When I cheat my rep high enough to buy it (the highest Boron), the needed rep (on the right) turns to a readtext#!
I'm using X3TC 3.0, Bonus Pack, PM Lite 1.30 RC1, and have only Cycrow's Advanced Jumpdrive, Advanced Nav, Community Plugin Config, Ware and Hotkey Managers and Cheats, as well LV Udgrade Kits. Everything else is available and working, so I don't think there are any conflicts, just one broken script.

Too bad, sounds like it would be good.

I'm returning to X3 after a long pause. This was one of my favorite scripts before, so not working in X3TC 3.0 did not make me a happy camper. I got the ZA_EMP_BLANK_WARE..blaa..blaa.blaa too. So, I took the plung into the scripting world to try to figure out if I could learn enough quickly to fix the script. Clearly there is a lot to be learned with regards to writing even a basic script. That being said, it turned out a little experimentation with the script editor paid big dividends. Not sure if this is the root cause, not being competent at scripting and all, but Cycrow's scripts were made with script version 43 and the current script editor is version 44.

Anywho, the details to fix it were-
1) Installed the latest version of EMP, actually EMP-X
2) Opened script editor from inside program. Search forums for how to do this. Described by others. I don't need to repeat here.
3) find the script, SETUP.CYCROW.ADVTHRUST and load it into the editor. i.e. highlight and hit return or maybe even just click on the name
4) Notice the ZA_EMP_BLANK_WARE..blaa..blaa , it should read Advanced Thruster Control
5) click on the ZA_EMP_... name and that takes you to another screen
6) At the bottom of that screen is WARES ITEM
7) click on it and scroll down the list of wares until you see Advanced Thruster Control. Click on it and it replaces the ZA_EMP_... name.
8) hit the escape key to exit and save.
9) Now highlight the SETUP.CYCROW.ADVTHRUST script and hit the R key to run the script.
10) No go check your local Boron Equip. Doc. It should be there.
11) However, the script will not work if you install it in your ship at this point because the hotkey script is broken too :( So, go back to the script editor and look for the script, PLUGIN.ADVTHURST.HOTKEY. Repeat the same process to update the script with the correct name, Advance Thruster Control.
12) Now the ware should show up in the station and work when installed in your ship and you hit the hotkey button.

I installed this but I don't see the ware in any equipment docks. Furthermore, I don't see any place where I can set the hotkey.

I have cycrow's plugin manager v1.40 beta (and the community and ware manager that comes with it), version 2 of the following EMP mod http://www.after-domination.net/phpbb3/ ... ?f=28&t=92, and Cycrow's hotkey manager installed (along with a variety of other mods scripts, if that seems important i will list them).

Anyway I'd really like to try this but it just isn't showing up in the EQ docks. Any ideas?

That fix put the ATC into supply docks, but I remain unable to purchase it as I have not reached the elusive boron notoriety level "Read_Text_###".

Also it costs 17 million credits. This seems a wee bit pricy.

this is most likly an error in EMP

ill have a look at moving the ware elsewhere

I can not buy this with max boron rank i get the red highlight and it says Boron ReadText24-111. I am using you plugin manager lite v1.30. I am only using the scripts that came with the plugin manager and the salvage claim software. Getting kinda bummed.

I started of by installing all the plugins that came with manager, ran the game from the manager and checked stuff out. Found the stuff that didnt require buying any equipment and thought all was well, then i went to getsu fune to shop for the equipment but it all showed up with the weird ware code text.

I then uninstalled all the scripts and closed the manager. Made sure to run it as admin the next time and reinstalled the mods. This time i closed the plugin manager and started the game from steam instead. Now all the upgrades showed up but i still can't buy the thruster.

I have been reading through all the posts but they just confuse me more. I see old post stating you need to install emp separately, then i see later that it is now included in plugin manager. I have not installed it and don't really know if i should or not at this point.

I still sometimes have wares show up with the code instead of the name but then if i wait a little or redock they show up properly. I am thinkling maybe it can just take some time before the scripts initialize after loading a game or if there is something else goign on.

Also while this is wrong thread for it i found no way to turn of auto jump when using advanced jumpdrive. It says in post that it needs to be enabled on ship. But for me it auto jumps everytime i click on a gate and activate autopilot. I do not have auto jump set in command slot or the vanilla auto jump.

It's not a huge deal, i am not even sure i want to use the thruster but i wanted to try it out and see how it was. The thing that worries me is that i am doing something wrong. If i can't even get these fairly straightforward scripts to work reliably i shudder at the thought of using mods with tons of scripts.

Hi, i migth need some help with this script, have this game since a while but could not really get into it 'cause combat system seem a bit un-physic so i tougth i will try this script, it migth fix the needed adrenalin in space combat and give a feeling of real to it (bad influance of Freelancer and battlestar galactica ;) ).
So i downloaded (the latest links on thease forums):

and some additional beacause they looked nice addon (but if they are not compatible with Thruster Control i migth get them out):

Advanced Jumpdrive 1.00

then activated them in Plugin manager, and no effect wich one is not the good version or not compatible? 'cause i could not find anywhere the Thruster Control (or anything else then the CSecG add i think) and i explored a big part of Terran Systems and some argons too ... at least i see an equipement station wich sells some wierdly named products.
and the hotkeys show up ingame too.
or do i need to restart a game for them to show up?

(i don't want to use cheats to get it even if i think it is wierd to need an equipement for cutting down the power of your thrusters but cheats spoil the game in other ways)

Thank in advance for any help in this, realy would like to get into this game, it looks imersive

EDIT: i replaced :
Extended Mod Pack 1.4 with the EMP-X 2.7 wich seems to fix some unreadable text problems, and i finaly found one thruster at a boron stations (others still don't have it) it costs 18mill credits wich seems a bit much and needs the highest boron rank, is that intended?

hi all,
I know this is an old post, but cant find the answer anywhere else.
im running modded version of AP, ive got cycrows plug-in manager etc with all the other necessities.
ive had a look through the various cheat scripts available in-game and the only thing similar i could find was a strafe drive enhancement thingy which didnt show up in controls to be able to assign hotkey.

im just looking for some type of equipment/ script that allows me to travel in 1 direction whilst turning & shooting in another direction.
some sort of directional inertia control?

Cycrow, is this compatible with Albion Prelude? When I try to install it says it is designed for Terran Conflict. I can override and install anyway but I wasn't sure if it would have any problems.

This isn't the only one either. These are the other ones of yours that I want to install but may not be compatible with AP:

i've not actually tried it, but it should work in AP.

most TC scripts tend to be compatible.

The only one of mine that i know isn't, is the Advanced Navigation override scripts. The main scripts should be fine, but the extra override ones can cause problems with AP
