Can't scan for containers, also can't enter stations

I can hear the music, but the door won't open...luckily I know everyone inside is gross and stupid, but still...

I really do need to scan for containers so I can get rich, though.

any tips?

The doors are meant to be closed in the VR version unless you have a mission behind the door. The latest patch added a way to open the doors, but I'm not sure why you'd want to.

To scan go to the Main Menu -> Modes -> Long range scan mode. Use your "Fire Missile" to initiate the scan. You need to hold it down and let it go before it burns out, it's a timing game.
