Disabled jump gates in Free mode

Post by atbmatus » Sun, 12. Nov 17, 18:58

Greetings,
i play X rebirth in free mode, but i can visit only 4 systems because 2 of jump gates are always disabled.

The gates are in:
- Cold peaks
- Auspicion excavation

I know that in campaign the player must follow the story to unlock them, but not in free mode.

Please help.

In freeplay, the 'normal' gates initially locked for the plot should be unlocked from the start. However, some gates in the starter systems will also require the DLC systems for them to lead anywhere.

If you have all the DLCs then verify your game installation.

Thank you for the answer.

In a previous free game i could go trought them, but not in this one.
I have the Teladi dlc... I tried in campaign to follow the story and i could pass one of them, but when i reload free game save the gate still being disabled.

Hi, atbmatus

The Jump Gate in Cold Peaks leads to a system that is only available with the Home of Light expansion - if you don't have this then the gate won't be active.

That, however, doesn't explain why the Gate in Auspicious Excavation doesn't work. Are you sure that this is the gate that is inactive? If you could tell us which systems you have access to, it would be a big help.

Perhaps you could send us a savegame so that we can take a quick look into this? (Simply email it to lorraine@egosoft.com, preferrably zipped).

Thanks,
Lothari
