Moving disc X2 save to Steam

Can I move a disk savegame of X2 1.4 to steam X2 1.5?
If you want to go fast, go alone.
If you want to go far, go together.

Yes. The (vanilla) version X2 updates are made backwards save compatible. The reverse (eg using a 1.5 save with 1.4 gamefiles) is not true though. Both versions need the BP installed, if applicable.

Saves are made in the different gamefile folder locations and so the two X2 games will not overwrite each other's saves.
