Do I not understand how satellites are used?

So I bought two advanced satellites while using my Argon Mercury and deployed them in two adjoining sectors. When I go to the sector view I can see prices in either sector, I can start the live camera feed, etc. Everything works fine.

Now -- when I jump into my Argon Discover (which is equipped with all the same trading and navigation software) I am unable to pull up prices or any information from the sector map... What am I doing wrong?

I was hoping to jump to my Discoverer and then remotely command my Mercury.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

You need a Trading system extension in your current ship to see prices at NPC stations.

Advanced satellites are pretty useful - they also help your auto-traders..

Mk3-traders do not make use of satellites, if that's what you mean.
