How do I use System Override Software?

Hi folks,

Anyone give me some advice on how to activate/use the system override software?

Is it just instead of having to bail out to capture a ship, or can you hack into and claim a ship that has not been abandoned - now that would be cool

Cheers - I did look for a previous topic, but couldn't find one.

Either I'm blind or this forum needs a search facility (if it's got one, I really am blind, because I couldn't find that, either!).
