Disruptor missiles WOW !

I've picked one up after killing some Pirates and thought I'll keep it because the ED doesn't pay that much for it.

Just a few sectors later I came across a Pirate Falcon (and 3 Harriers - not that important) and thought I test the new gadget. WOW !!

The Falcon's shield went down, his speed droped to zero, a quadruple ahept salvo and he was toast.

Unfortunately you can't buy these nice gadgets, or am I missing something?

Yes you can, just not at equip docks as the AI are stupid and don't ship them. But if you go to the actual factory, not only can you buy in infinite supply but also at much cheaper prices :D

There is one in Olmancketslats Treaty, but is story related and I don't go around there much so can't remeber if u can buy them from there after the mission.

Call me silly, but could you possibly tell me what the "disrupter" Missile Factory is called please??
Downloaded a list of all factories to buy but there no Disrupter missile factory in the list...

its called a "Disruptor Missle Factory" and its located in the sector named above. You can't interact with it though, don't know if you can after you completed the plot.

bah they are slow though, my fav missile is the hurricane.

Which mission do you have to complete to be able to dock with that factory??

Methinks I might have to start doing the plot just so I can get some of those goodies :) :)

Ok, I'm after mission#2 but don't dare to go on bcause I've read about several bugs and I do want to kep my current game.

So what is the answer to the question you posed in my behalf? Would mission #3 be sufficient?

Disruptors? Pah, try some Thunderbolt action on for size, those things rock hardcore!

I'm trying to spec out the misisles for a guide, checking range and speed atm, fire hornet...... 148ms........ cool, it goes a nce 9-10km......

Fire a thunderbolt....... nice, faster at 156ms......... how far will it go...... 5km...... 10km...... 15km........ still going? SETA it...........30km......... at 40km it hits the gate i was using as a target on the other side of the sector (Argon Prime) :o

need to find the "real" range of that beast, also ill fire all the diff missiles i can carry at my complex to see what damage they do....... Cant carry Typhoon and Firestorm missile/Torps, or Disruptors either, but ill get a good idea of the rest of them!

Then i need to do the same with lasers......

Good stuff. I'll be keen to know how the various missiles perform.

My miserly nature makes me loathe to potentially waste good money with ill use of missiles.

Pah check out the firestorm missile.

You can take out half a scetor of transports with those things :twisted:

Just launch from over 10km away or your toast too

(launched one in a fully shielded centaur the other day and it took me out at over 6k range :o )
