Unknown UFO?

Ok, there I was trundling around 'Ceo's Doubt' (just pondering how to get that Mamba from 'Loomanckstrats') when I came upon this UFO thingy!

Anyone know what it is and what you're susposed to do with it? Also, back to that Mamba, just how do you get it? Everytime I get within 2.5K(ish) I explode for some reason!

I saw them to (also in e.g. Argon Prime), but never really bothered. But you make me think again.

Anyway, just try to do something, anything with it and see what happens. If your ship explodes, well maybe that not the best way to deal with them?

This is the way this game is supposed to be

: just experiment and be surprised (or not).

I suppose these "unknown objects" are not programmed if you cannot do anything with it

The one I saw was alot smaller, had red and green lights on it and was moving at 300 speed. I don't have any ships that could move that fast... come to think of it I don't know any ships that can move that fast.

U guys are crazy. There are no UFOs!

Jk.. Pretty much any M3 will move faster than 300. I wish I was in my Rajin M5 when I saw it. Would catch up with it pretty fast.

I was in the Scorpion Raider, it's top speed is 296 so I managed to keep up with it for a while. Well, until a Pirate Nova that I'd pi££ed off earlier decided on some 'Head-On' revenge that is. I did manage to whiz past him only losing a bit of shield, then I remembered his rear turret! BANG!!!!!

I was secretly the UFO would lead to an Argnu Beef factory and carry out some weird cattle mutilations!

Wait what? I'm in a nova, thats an M3 isn't it? 114 is my top speed. I've got full engine upgrades.

I get quite used to "Unknown Object" (as the game refers to it) buzzing around the sectors . . . . read somewhere it's an in-game joke from X2.

I encountered the UFO again, this time in a Xenon sector. The ship info (I took a screenie but sigh in office now) showed strange data, like so:

????.... $@!@@@##
.... ???$$$$ >>>
??!!! ....

No typo there... it was gibberish. Also, strangely it was red, could be due to the sun (Xenon sector west of Thyn's Abyss) and it was shot to shit by the Xenon! No shields and roughly 80% hull tho it could still maintain 300 speed.

I killed it in my Normal mode account ( Restarted due to plot error and am now in extream, gave up 200million+)

Nothign happened, I killed it, ntohing. I shot it up first, expceted something, but nothing so i showly shot it untill it died.....

Yeah, I saw it a couple of times, scanned it, it showed gibberish, then got p.o.ed and shot it down in my new nova, man those mass drivers are awsome. All that happened was the voice in the void cried aaarrrggghh!!!
