I came across the UFO in a pirate sector somewhere.
So I scanned it, and promptly told that I had lost recognition, with the Goner of all people.
I recently capped a Xenon M (with 4 5-mj shields) and was feeling pretty good because besides only having 4 weapon mounts it was faster, better shielded, higher generators, etc... So I'm like "sweet"...
I fix it, load some B-Pacs, and jump in... and about punched the monitor the first fight I got into because the "muzzle flash" from weapons being RIGHT NEXT TO THE COCKPIT meant my whole screen was blue. I couldn't see a thing.
So After reloading from a save and swearing profusely....
Mysterious UFO is a Goner and Xenon ship design

Well have to agree that fireing weapons from Xenon ships does make problem seeing from the cockpit.

Insomuchas I saved before fixing it and loading weapons.J Cubed wrote:Wait! I thought there weren't any cockpits in X3, but you were instead in some magical hologram room so you could see all around your ship without having your view obscured by the hull!
I take it that you failed to save before picking a fight?
There wasn't any cockpit but the "muzzle flash" took up the whole screen and made it impossible to fly, shoot at things....
I mean other than that it specs out as a great M4
