OOS fragen ??

I've set up patrols of two Vanilla Mamba's with 2XAHEPT's and 1XBPBE with 2X25MJ shields.

When I am in sector these fighters kick backside, they can take out swarms of fighters due to the pbe and any larger stuff with the hept......

So why oh why when i'm out of sector do they get owned by a pirate falcon vanguard, about 6,000,000 cr of my ship against 1-2 at most pirate.

Like i said, as wingmen they are unstoppable........ :(

Because OOS fighting is all handled by numberplay, just like an RPG or something. Relative position and speed don't come into it - it's all about who has the biggest laser value, the highest refire rate, and the biggest shields.

Is an m6 really the only way to ensure surviving against pirate m3's then?

Unfortunatly there no where near quick enough. So I bought 40 M3's and guess what, they get destroyed! :evil:

I use Argon M6's fully loaded with BHEPT's and have them escorted by 2 captured M4's of various types all fully loaded with the biggest guns they can carry. I have not lost a patrol yet. Even my single Dragon with a dual Falcon Escort has been killed.

I have tried fighting in the M6's but they are just to slow the only reason I use an M6 personally is for a fully loaded Centaur with Mass Drivers for killing big stuff.
