I've just about got my race rank up with argon and boron to buy an M3 and I'm stuck between the two, so I was wondering what do people make of the pbe's?
How effective are they for capping and how fast do the projectiles move (not too keen on hepts, seems impossible to hit small ships with them)
Any feedback about about nova/barracuda would also be welcome
PBE's any good?

They have pro's and cons:
Pros:
- Rapid firing
- Fast bullets, impossible to dodge
- Strip shields fast
Cons:
- Low hull damage (This can help capping though)
- Seem to miss at point-blank range
I use them for shooting down M4's/M5's/Fighter Drones, and for stripping the shields off a target I want to cap, before using my Alpha IRE's. But for severe combat, where the aim is to kill, not cripple, then HEPT's are much, MUCH better choice.

Ryu they ARE missing at point-blank range because they move so darn fast! PBEs clock way over 5km/s(thats 5000m/s)Ryuujin wrote:They have pro's and cons:
