would like to know if people are interested in a thing like this ..

I'm going to make one anyway .. but making it for just myself or myself and the community means a lot a extra work ..

so I'd first like to know if there is any interest in this ..


thing what I'm going to do is ..

for each race .. (as it is it will only work on the argon and split .. but because X3 is highly modable I'll add the other races 'just incase')
there will be a plugin .. this plugin will find all EDs from this race ..
if an ED trades with MDs and Ammo ..
an MD-Supplier-Scout will be created .. and will start equipping ships with ..
2 MDs and 8/12 crates off ammo per MD (only on M4/M3 class ships.. if they have 2 free gun slots)
this scout will keep resuppling these ships with ammo ..(so they will in time reach their max. capacity)
if all ships have at least a basic amount off ammo .. and there are MDs for sale and more ammo ..
the scout will find an other ship to give 2 MDs ..

these scouts will not buy MDs and ammo all over ..
only at their own ED .. so each scout has 1 ED to trade with ..
and will leave factories alone .. (to give you a chance to get some MDs/Ammo)

well if you try hunting the Argon .. its gonna cost you in repairs .. :D


its because its the only weapon NEVER used by the NPC ..

so in the end its just to make things a bit more realistic ..

and to have a bit more fun if would chooze to take down the Argon/Split ..
also it could create you some extra customers ..
but that again could mean the argon/split get meaner ..
cause they would in the long run have a lot a ships with MDs ..

again I'd really apreciate some feedback on the following ..


I've come to the conclusion that the X3 galaxy basicly doesnt support MDs/Ammo really being bought and used by the NPC ..

so I was wondering would you mind these scouts 'multiplying' what they loaded ..??

I mean when they get there hands on 1 MD .. should I just 'spawn' an other as well ..??
maybe even 2 ..?? (as to balance it a little ..)

on one side I rather not .. cause it is/could be seen as a way off cheating
but on the other .. I see it basicly as the same as spawning ships ..
all ships spawn with weapons .. so the game 'cheats' new weapons ..
why not do it for this plugin as well (for the sake off a more so called 'realistic' game ..)


so as mentioned above .. any feedback is very welcome ..

This might actually be better done by modding jobs.pck, but that would be somewhat less compatible.

this can not be altered by the jobs file ..

cause the jobs file already allows MDs .. but never 'spawns' them on any ship ..

but supplying it means the universe quickly runs dry on MDs and Ammo ..

anyway I think I know what to do .. randomly spawn some extra equipment at ED via the plugin .. this way the player could be first to buy or any other trader ..

it will reverse the use off MDs/Ammo by the ED and should solve this without having to give the scouts jack s*** ..

other way is .. tapping into 'GOD' ..

(something to deal with after X-mas)

What i meant was adding a new entry that spawned a ship running a supply script at every ED.

that wont work .. cause than it would be a 'fixed' thing ..

and still wouldnt solve whats the issue ..

lack off goods is the issue .. getting the scouts on the map and working is no longer a 'wip' .. its balancing it so it actually becomes usefull ..
if there are no MDs/Ammo scouts just sit in dock waiting for enough to become available .. so I need to make it so (somehow) that there always is some available ..

it would only create a new problem .. cause than no special weapon complex would be selling MDs/Ammo .. it would (almost) all be used by the scouts ..
