[script idea] SQUASH mine teleporter device

Stevio had the idea to use the Lasertower array script for deploying SQUASH mines - with a bad surprise: they are already armed!

This leads to a nice idea of a new weapon:

The Squash Mine Teleporter


Imagine this:

You have plenty of SQUASH mines in your cargo hold and are, say, in a Xenon sector with a little armada on your tail. You activate the SMT device, select a target (or position), input the number of SQUASH mines and they will be teleported to the target location (or position).

Of course one could think of using some ecells to do that and it could be extended for OOS use (for more ecells).

What do you think?

Something that can deploy mines nearby (20-30km away?) is a good idea.
- Though would be slightly inconsistent with the transporter range of 5km
and teleporting them to this close would be the same as dropping them?

But did u mean teleporting mines to a different sector for energy cells? Doesnt seem quite right unless ur planning on fitting jumpdrives to them!

Or how about:

Military Transporter Upgrade

Upgrade not safe to use as a normal transporter for pilot or freight but has military uses such as deploying SQUASH mines 20/50/more km away or can allow use of transporter to beam a laser tower array into position (less range) - does the laser tower array script require a transporter device to be installed to use it btw?? (not enough credits to afford that many LTs at moment!)
