System Override Software

Post by Preybird » Sun, 19. Feb 06, 02:49

Hey Hey, I just got a few questions about system override...
Mainly how does it work, what exatly does it do, and how can I use it?
I know what the manual says about it, but its not terribly useful....
Can anyone shed some light on this?

When you claim a ship, you dont have to exit the ship to do it. You can map it to a key or joystick button, and make claiming a one press thing, instead of a space walk.

From memory, the distance is still 30m.

Its illegal though, so police ships scanning you will get aggro if you have one.

A script can give you Claims Mk 2, which is not detectable, so you dont have the hassels with police. But it costs a lot more. But you can claim up to 5km away, and if your further, the auto-pilot will take you into range automatically.

lol
I had the bright idea that if bought this thing then maybe if i could get close enough to a khaak destroyer that I could just, um, own it. Doesn't work that way. I reloaded to before I bought it and tried to forget that encounter.

You cant claim a Khaak cap ship apparently.

Besides, the claim software requires that the ship not be moving and has no pliot.
