LLLLLLOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

I'd love to see that! I wonder who they'll use as the 'electronic entertainment' expert to evaluate that "rather astonishing piece! Thankyou so much for bringing it in, it really is a fantastic piece. For insurance purposes, I'd say around 55p". And you'd look all shocked and say "ohh.....ohhh well I wasn't expecting that!!!" and sit there with a huge smug grin on your old crinkly face with other old people craning their necks to catch a glimpse of your piece then they'll cut to someone else who's brought in a 1985 Kylie Minogue EP. I love that show.

What a great gadget - I wonder why they haven't used something similar since.....

Like weirdo 3d specs or something, they would be extra useful after the pub

I had the C64 version. I bought my first computer (c64) after I saw a copy at the local bookstore. That was in 1984...

Probably not much :(
Someone on Ebay sold a signed copy, on floppies, of Wing Commander, and it made about $3. I mean, what the hell?
Prudent or not, once the scythe comes out, I'm probably gonna haul ass!

Probably because they shipped 3000 faulty ones for the Spectrum and WH Smith was inundated with returns and refused to sell copies of any game that contained the Lens-lock-anti-piracy-device (or in my case: Anti-playing-the-game-that-your-parents-have-bought-for-your-8th-birthday-device)

I had to wait untill they re-released it with the good old: "What is the 5th letter of the 137th word of the 14th paragraph on page 39 of the manual that you have spilt coke on so is all stuck together?"
"I've got a bad feeling about this!" Harrison Ford, 5 times a year, trying to land his plane.

Its the red thing above the cassette in the photo - You had to hold it up to your eye and squint while looking through it, at a load of blobs onscreen to decipher a "game code" - I seem to remember it was about as reliable as a chocolate teapot.......

But that did give it "character" :P :P (bit like an old car that doesn't work properly! :D
