Well, it's not normally in the game (script). But you can buy it at pirate bases, if you're running the script. It's just shy of 7mil tho, so make sure to take your checkbook.

Usually Yes, at any pirate base. But only if you have installed the script.

System override software allows you to capture a ship without ejecting from your ship. You still need to get with 30 meters though, then you claim it in the same way you would in a space suit. The software is also for some bizzare reason illegal, so you'll have to dump it if you get scanned, or suffer a race rank hit.

Basically it's a complete waste of time and money in it's current form.

System override software mark 2 is a script made by one of our caring Mod makers who feels much the same as me. The Mk 2 software is extremely expensive, however it's not illegal (or at least not detectable) so you don't have to worry about scans and it also has a much larger operating range.

I use the System Override Software on one of my wingman. That way when I need to Cap claim a ship I transport over. Claim it and transport back. That way there is no rank hit from using it.

Well, it is detectable and it is considered illegal by at least the Boron. Went traipsing into Boron space the other day and had this fool scan me and tell me to drop my illegal freight.

So I'm thinking "What illegal freight?! I'm not carrying anything."

Check into my freight menu and my shiny new override software has an (illegal) tag next to it. Needless to say I didn't drop it, but the ensuing fire fight neccesitated a reload. :evil:
