Surely more of a sultana than a raisin, perhaps a hybrid?

Yep they are dreading the day of the coming of the great ribina bottle. What percentage of space faring split are made into juice? Quite a lot given their propensity for poor shielding I should think.

If the split are really a species of demented raisins, the moderators can lock this threat, because in those pictures we see naked splits. :o :P

Naked split I like it, err actually I don't! However I think the raisin can be compared to the evolved split in the same manner that a chimpanzee might be compared to a human being no one is going to complain about seeing a naked chimpanzee; unless it is doing something rude!

Fortunately as far as I can see the raisin is just minding its own business unlike its more agressively developed cousin. For this reason Egosoft can be excused for not locking this thread whether the theory is proven or not.

@P66: You assume that Split have evolved from raisins. The OP states the opposite. Thus, assuming OP is correct, a naked Split would be ok, but a naked raisin is not.

No I am saying that either way it is OK as rasin is not sentient split but very early ancestor.

I know,

OP says:
Split is demented raisin
Sounds like raisin would be the more sentient of the two. :P

Then again, on more absolute scale raisin is not sentient enough to be a problem when naked.

So yes, you are right. I guess a naked raisin is acceptable (by forum rules) either way.

Slightly back to OP, the raisin resembles the head of the Split. However the torso is missing or differs significantly. This naturally raises two questions:
1) Do the Split still use beheading?
2) Where do raisins actually come from?

1) The split method of execution is either being thrown into a magimix, or in exceptional circumstances made into a hot cross bun mix in a Kenwood chef!
2) They are dried grapes!

Split says : "You have offended the family !"

You are going to be prosecuted, judged and sentenced to eat 2 pounds of raisins every day until your death.

In HG Wells' War Of The Worlds the Martians were described in a very similar manner to bear-sized leathery raisens. Maybe this is where Egosoft got their inspiration?
