Transporting Passengers?

I checked some tutorial threads and such, but i'm not sure if any of them listed anything about becoming a space taxi, so i was wondering, can you transport passengers (evident by the shipyard selling Express shuttles)

Where can i transport people and how do i do it?

occasionally you'll see people advertising on the buliten boards for shuttles to transport passengers.

Thank you, i didn't get an express shuttle yet, but i used the guide and found the Toucan Hauler, does that suffice as a passenger ship? (do variations of transporters matter even?)

Sometimes you'll need a "Hauler" variant. Passengers are L-sized cargo. Some of the TPs can only carry up to M (The Express comes to mind). I think this was a minor oversight with the ships' designs (imo).


I think *any* TP, regardless of variant, should be able to carry passengers. :)

Just don't use the jump drive at any point, even if returning to the station.

They have a nasty penalty of 90% of your "pay" deducted if you do. Just thought I'd throw that out there if someone didn't know. I learned the hard way. :)

What if you use SETA? time speeds up. less time to see things. lol does that affect? i didn't really see any problems in X2 doing it but X3?

For whatever reason, in my express, as soon as I accepted the BBS mission, I got another message, saying

"Hey! You can't leave us here! I'm gonna talk to the tourism authority! this is Illegal! I'm gonna tell mom! etc, etc, etc."

I hadn't even undocked from the trading station. o_O

See above regarding the cargo size. It's a known "bug" that the Express only has M size cargo while passengers are L.

The Hauler variants are L size.
