Whats the matter with the Mercury?

I remembered I had that free Mercury tucked away, upgraded it fully with engine tuning etc and found that it's top speed is still only 39 kph... basically useless. Does anyone know what the problem is?

Repair the hull at a shipyard/wharf. That should fix it.

Repair it at a shipyard and upgrade the engines. It was damaged when it was given to you.

hmm 39 rings a bell, you sold all the equipent of the transporter in mission 2 as per cheats posted and thats the Hidden Bonus you get, a crippled ship to off set the funds you got. If you dont sell the equipment the ship you are given only has about 10% damage but not 90% as you found out
