bloody very good
CG
too late for that, as of 3:30AM yesterday the Avis Imperial Hydro Extraction ship Aquanaught 7, drained the boron paradise of 90% of it's water, the boron unfortunately found these new conditions un-liveable and voluntarily re-settled in ,, ermm,,, the dust around them after the orbital bombardment by IAC Thunerchild

THAT DOES NOT LOOK LIKE A CITY!!!
How does this look like a city, with only 2 buildings(big). This seems to be some kind of Village/Base.
No such thing as a "city" with less than 10 structures
CU
p.s sorry to be rude, that really is not me Its just that im in the middle of large exams and im really stressed.
At least those cities look gr8, nice work.

I did think about it
I was originaly considering making lots of little structures and dangley bits dothering about under the water suspended from chain like things but then thought,, hang on thats Gunka City (Starwars Ep1) and was trying real hard to avoid just ripping something like that off,
sooo some thought later,
This is all farely high technology (bearing in mind space travel is day to day stuff in this universe).
A surface dwelling city because of the reasonably passive environment with its only real natural threat is wind is likely o develope flat and srawl out.
A underwater city, doesn't need to worry about wind or extreme side preasures (ocean currents thought of too hence why it is in a tench ), it just needs to be capable of withstanding atmospheric preasure, so a single (round) structure is probably best suited to this task.
well thats my theory anyway,
and I'm sticking to it
besides does the M1 and M3s not give away the scale

Hmmmmmmmm Avis Imperium has obvoisly seen the light and realised what scum the Boron are.
The Flibbles pass on their thanks for doing their dirty work for them.

Can't think of a Boron sounding city name so havn't named it yet. Start a new thread for suggestions ?
Nice city btw looks very alien and boron like
thinking about it its the ground terain texture thats causing the scaling confusion isn't it ?Meltdown wrote:Veeeeeery nice... But I agree it doesn't look like a city, unless 95% of it is underground...
A city really doesn't have to have any set numbver of structures, and an alien city,, well, has more artistic licence than a human city
the number of structures is irrelavent, but then I guess the size doesn't come across right even with the M1 in shot the minds eye notices the ground asumes it is small rocks rather than huge rocks and the illusion of something small has been created ,, oh well learning curve in getting surface tuxtures right
[I hve also considered the underground thing (ie all the structures are linked but then thoguhts why ? bron can just swim from johns house to the space garage ]
Gotta be the split. imagine the filth and depravity you could illustrate.. might look a bit like London.....Avis wrote:[not an excuse to bump honestly ]
any requests for another X species alien landscape ?
