Concussion question

i know that this has been talked about before but I need to ask.

I heard that this was in metors not kms. But if this is right, how do you measure distances and from what point?

Use command "go to position", the lower corner of the sector map will show the coordinates of the cursor.

They are the x,y,z co-ordinates, as advised above, in the lower right hand corner of the sector map and are in Km.
So for the co-ords above for Xenon Sector 597 :-
-62546, -17250, 22730) converted to Km is roughly :-
x -62.5, y -17.2, z 22.7

You need to press the "insert" key to change the map to the "Y" co-ordinate which is height above or below the eclpiptic plane.

i Have just been in the boron sector you get the missions from and i got a message on the bbs saying would you like to purchase terran ship weapons and defensive , things needless to say i downloaded it but nothing has happened

But the co-ords for Priests Pity were wrong see above for correction.

There is also a very fast ship (Starburst 1500 or so) in Freedoms Reach at (-1.12, 36.1, 43.2) (in kms).

First thing that came to my mind was, "WHY WOULD THEY PUT THEM THAT FAR AWAY?!!?" Then I realized it was in meters... :lol:
