hasnt anyone noticed the 'pun' or 'ironicy' (is that evan a word) or any other word u would describe this

of the word avarice and what it means?

a bloody good name for that peticular sector if you ask me

However Avarice in X3 wants you to part with your hundreds of millions of credits which peaople gladly do.

I think that what you get after payng that much for it.. qualifies as just punishment for your avarice

Teladi will probably sell bad debt soon for twice as much

Of coarse I do not beleive in sin.. so to me its just a rip off

In my game the sector was first owned by a Teladi, who lost her fortune. Then it was owned by a Boron, who lost his fortune. Now it is owned by a half-Terran pirate.

The name is what it is to fit the story. Ironic or not, it fits.

Large empty void in space with no roids, no access to planetary advantages, gates are far apart so any fab you place is way out of the way, and what traffic you do get are often pirate or xenon or someon goint o not your fab. I am only going after it to see if I can do it. My finances do grow as fast as the bid amounts do.. but I tend to not have the the amount around when the auction first hits. SO I either need to get my first 65 mill faster.. or grow my finances faster than teh rate of the auction. When it comes time for me to bid I will most likely pass ,,, just knowing that I could have bought it is enough... Ill go buy 10 cap ships instead and claim every pirate space in the game.... who is gonna stop me then heh.

unless you add atleast 5 cap ships to that number the pirates will, indirectly though. quess what the ships are for

the additional cap ships are for teladi SY's which will be swarming with pirates after you clear pirate sectors

good all the teladi stations they will destroy will make more profit opportunities for me

But with 10 cap ship[s I have covered anyway

2 for pirate ally, and none for the others as a ele with a m6 escort will handle those. And the other cap ships will be assigned to the risky trade routes tat occur as a result

and I should sill have 3 left for the off chacne that the Kha'ak try to take Brennons' Triumph from me

You only get 1 chance to purchase your own sector out-right. And, even if it costs you your last credit you can re-think, re-build and then buy your 10 cap ships any time - but you won't have your own space, your true home sector - [your very own race called the "Julian's"] - Yeah baby!.

you know what you will lose the sector when next game version comes out saying you had sell it cause you too lost lots of money

your char would either give it argon or to your dad's corp
