Invisible Ion Disruptor's......?????

Just tested out some Ion Disruptor's on the M7 and the once spectacular lightning bolt had gone....its invisble...but on the moiniotr you can still see the targeted ship getting hit by it normaly...have no tried one for about six months but can remember some people complaining about this on an earlier patch so ....is this normal in 2.02??..... if it is....can i have it back

it seems to happen if you install more than 1 ion disruptor- just 1 and you see the sparks, but more than 1 and its invisible - dont know why...

Thanks for the replies, i'll test the single wepon out.......never use em anyway.........used em all the time when i had a Titan a long time ago.......ion diruptors leap-frog off your flak explosions you know!!!! so you get twice the range.......and off course still stuns em.....brillant to watch!!!!!!!

Thanks for this thread - I had the same trouble with invisible IonDs last night and was wondering what was up. Happy to know that just using 1 will fix it!

yep, I have the same problem, the IonD's fire in a huge flash then vanish, but for some reason it only happens when I pilot capital ships NEVER when I'm in a fighter.

I also ran into this problem last night when I put IDs on my new Centaur. Today I found out how to move the cockpit position to the front where it should be according to those huge viewports on the model, and lo and behold, I could see my IDs fire now, both of them. I guess the different angle makes a big difference to the rendering engine.
