kyon laser

hey i found a kyon laser on a battlefield and tried to sell it ,
and guess what the price was? 4 675 ... :?
i mean its ka'ak tech, should'nt they throw hight prices just to look at it? 8)

Depending on its type A/B/G then it'll get differing values, and as they already know the Khaak its not such a big deal. If you get any more A or B's then I'd keep them for any KM3/4 or 5 you might capture, you'll never find a home for a Gamma Kyon so just sell it for the credits.

Ahhhh, but thousands were aquired at the end of X2 when the ability to cap Kha'ak ships was introduced. The market is saturated, and only those lucky few who cap the kha'ak are interested these days.

You'd think that at least fairly soon, they'd start being able to reverse engineer and integrate the Kyon Emitter into common ships' weapon loadouts...

Why would they want to? The main enemy in the X universe at the moment are Kha'ak, and the range advantage of PPCs mean they're much better for fighting them than their own weapons would be!

no GPPC fire lait, the khaak hit always and you hit only the space.

or be odin 9 KM hit range. :twisted:

lol, they shoot at 5 Km and you shoot 5 Km and yes he has a range of 6.6 Km.

a reverse engineer for wapons it is not bad. i reverse engineer a khaak ship and i need same wapons. even for that new wapon and the terran wapons. if you cap a terran ship......

Id just sell those guns since capping a khaak ship isnt easy and even should you get one their shields are crap anyways.

Well im sure a falcon or nova does as well and they are much easyer to cap just do the math one khaak m4 or two argon or teladi m3`s :lol:

Strange how people are able to kill Kha'ak capital ships using just an Elephant with BPPCs on the rear turret, if the range is the same... :roll:

what you do is get the destroyers attention, and turn away from it, and slow down until it is within 5.5 KM. Match speed with the Khaak destroyer, target it and give your rear turret the command "Attack my target", then sit back and watch the destroyer getting whacked.

The only 'risk' is that after you start damaging the KM2's hull, it slows down and you'll fly out of range unless you slow down as well. :P In fact, this is such an easy and safe way to kill the Kha'ak capital ships that a lot of players consider it an exploit.

And not only do BPPC's outrange Gamma Kyons, but just think how easy it must be with Gamma PPC's on a Python. :lol:

Why would it be an exploit? It just shows the ship has a weakness.

It's no different than all the other big ships' "blind spots". :)

The khaak carrier and destroyer also have a blind spot in its rear espacialy the destroyer you can simply fly in it and kill it slow.
the only problem is getting in there alive :roll:

I didn't claim it was an exploit. But there are others that think so. And that's their prerogative, if they so choose. But it does seem odd to have a mere TL with the capability of taking out destroyers and carriers with impunity, dontcha think. :wink:

Of course, it does depend on the stupidity of the AI in following said Elephant to their doom. :roll: :lol:
