Is there a way to get to Earth?
(I've played the storyline)

Is there a possibility to capture or buy a Terran ship?
(those M1/2's are great!)

Answer is NO you cant get to earth IN game.
Dont know about terrans tho.

There's a range of ways to aquire a Terran ship, however they all require scripts/mods.

do I then have to capture those ships, or can I buy them somewhere..?

again another question how do I get terran ship info?

You can buy the Terran specifications off the BBS.

You might try the DDRS leveled or rebalanced mods. I've been playing rebalanced...there are missions that allow you to eventually buy the Terran ship models, I do believe.

When you download the BBS info, the "unknown objects" that you used to pick up suddenly have names. That's pretty much all it does, as far as I know.

If you'd like to try DDRS, it will require starting a new game, because it's a mod.

Here's DDRS rebalanced (more of a challenge):

Once you install them, all you have to do is the following:
When the X3 menu pops up, click the button that says "Select MOD package" (or some such thing - I'm not in front of my regular computer right now). Then you select the one you want to use. But be warned - you will have to start a new game, and you must always use the same mod package with your saved game.

Once you get it installed and you get going, if you want to earn the new ships...

if u want to play with terran ships, then download extended .7 when it comes out, theey will have all teran ships+ a few extra ones, like a terran M0

You can script them in with the simple Create.ship.xml but everyone moans about there being no nose view on the cockpit, but tbh, the cockpit is at the front anyway so its no different to flying a Falcon.

i used this mod.

but got problem

i played it with the balagi mission. the yatch wasn't what it supposed to be. it's model changed, and the medusa too. the model is change into some ... errr M5 that looks like a cargo ship.
the name off the ship si **unknown** (forgot the precise word)
the computer doesn't say a word nether ...
