It allows you to have the system over rides software without worrying about the police scans finding it.

Hiya Peeps,
Just To Clarify What pjknibbs Said........ The SSS (Software Signature Scrambler Or Whatever It's Called :P ) Is Only Available On Pirate Base BBS's, Unless Of Course, You Happen To Use A Script Which Places It In The Station's Wares List [AKA The Trade Screen :mrgreen:].
The Only Problem With The Original Method (BBS) Is That It's A Bit Hit & Miss, Meaning; You May Need To Reload A Few Times To Get It To Appear In The BBS, Where As With The Script It's Available For Purchase Straight Away, But @ About 10% More Than You Originally Could Buy It From The BBS Msg.

I got it when some pirate asked me to pick up some cargo sector three worlds. He offered me 300K+ or the scrambler. I took the scrambler. Found out it's worth about 900k+. :) :roll:

Well theres no way I'll be able to do it... I keep getting bombs planted on my ship whenever I dock with a Pirate Base... :skull:

The one time I found it on a pirate BBS I got killed shortly after and it was no longer on BBS when I reloaded.

I've since discovered however that when my Raptor is scanned they don't detect the over-ride software which is installed in the docked Chimera.

Wich is why i blow all bases up instead of docking at them :twisted:

Is it possible to get the Software sccrambler more then once?
I got it the first time... and now I'm not to sure where I stuck it, I'm fairly certain it might've died, but I've gone through quite a few ships now so I'm not to sure

Yes, you can buy it more than once, but only one pr. ship. If you already have it installed, you cant buy it. Just dock another ship and transfer it, then buy.
