TL > Wingman Ecell transfer

Post by Vertigo_Edge » Sun, 18. Mar 07, 22:12

I have an Elephant TL with two Paranid Medusa M3+ as wingmen (protect ship anyway). I'm wondering if there's a script that will let the Elephant automatically transfer ecells to the Medusa wingmen so I don't constantly have to transfer to them after jumps. Also if I order to Elephant to jump and I'm not in it the Medusa jumps too and that's great. However if there's a script that does the same for when I'm in ship it would help. Thanks for any help in a advance. Search didn't help me much.

advance jumpdrive script from cycrow will be your best friend, bit expensive, but with an advance jumpdrive you dont need e-cells anymore ( take shield energy to nake the jump and there is a comamnd to use jumpdrive if you go farther than one sector automaticly same goes for wingman etc )

You do press 'shift-J' when flying the Ele, don't you? That is "manual jump". Escorts won't jump.

Go to command menu of your ship ('shift-C'), choose 'Navigation' and there 'Jump...'. That activates the auto-pilot, and escorts will jump too.

XaiCorp Group Management System has "auto-refuel", when ships are docked. Anarkis Carrier Command has probably too.

This would be a pretty easy script to make. It would be useful for UTs as well, if they could keep their escorts fueled up. If a UT does an emergency jump out of somewhere like XS347, whatever ships you had protecting them are going to be hash if they don't jump as well.

I've got a lot on my plate right now, but I've added it to my list of script ideas...

Fleet support Ship software might well help you here.
You could probably get away with just assigning an FSUP equipped ship, with homebase set to the TL, and use the group resupply command. (I'd use a fighter ship for this atm as there seems to be a bug in the TS energy refueling.)

alternatively, you could edit the setup file for it so that the commands are available for TL's. Then you could run the resupply command direcly on the TL

I alologize for the bump but I've seen some topics about how a UT doesn't stay with it's escorts and I'm still intrested so I'm asking again. It seems simple, would someone be kind enough to attempt it? Or tell a retard like me how I could make a script like this? =p
