When you successfully get a pilot to bail from his ship, you then need to claim it to gain possession. To do so, you need to eject from your own ship, then get to within 30m of the abandoned ship to claim it.

The System Override Software (SOS) allows you to claim the ship without the need to eject from your ship.

Note that this software is considered illegal by the various races and if you get scanned, you will have to eject it.

There is also a Scrambler software offered occassionally on the odd pirate BBS which hides the SOS from any police scans.

Does this apply to all ships, or just m3's-m5's?
