If I have a ship with SOS software on it inside a carrier and the carrier is scanned with the SOS software still be detected?

No, only if it is actually in the ship that you are piloting.

Try to get the software scrambler, worth every penny, one of the first things I look for once established!
If things don't change, they'll stay as they are.

I'll try it. I can always reload if I lose a licence and install the mk2 scripts from Cycrow.
