Co-ordinates are:
Spoiler

-181,0,0 (km)
The ecliptic is the x-y plane in X3 (AIUI). So when z=0km.

You want to know where to find it? OK.

HINT LEVEL 1:

It's waaaaay to the west

If that hint doesn't suffice, here are the co-ordinates:

HINT LEVEL 2:

181W

EDIT: Darn! Beaten to the post yet again.

The only way you find this gate through scanning, is by trawling along the edge of the nav map, with half the scanning range not showing. The gate itself is not on the map.

A duplex scanner will never find it, I think its further out than they can see.

Are you sure? More like x-z when y=0. And the coordinate system is left-handed.

When you go into the nav, your looking at x,z grid. Insert takes you into x,y grid. So effectively, y represents up and down.
