Ive noticed this and was just wondering if it was a bug or not:

Has anyone else noticed how travelling on SETA caused the AI to miss with practially every shot? The number of times this fact has saved my life is unbelieveable. It has also saved the life of my future victims from sector patrols until i can get there.
EDIT:Decided to put it in spoilers as its kinda a cheat, kinda (tho i may be wrong).[/spoiler]

Its not a bug, its your PC groaning at trying to shot at things 10 times faster, thus, not to well.

I noticed the difference between two PC's the crappy one missed alot (and sometimes no at all), and this one whilst still a puny machine can land hits.

my machine starts to lag while I'm looking at my tighly packed 40 station complexes on max graphics (most of the time it will just fail to generate the model, which is truely a shame as my complexes are works of art.), and that's just because my graphics card isn't top notch. That seta trick doesn't work too well for me lol

Scripts (including AI combat) operate at fixed time intervals - speeding up game time (motion) by 10x does not speed up script processing, hence the loss of accuracy.

On SETA 10x you're effectively running your scripts 1/10th as often...

I am glad seta works that way. Only way I know of that I could have dropped that satellite in the middle of the xenon sector
