gunnery crew problem
sorry for posting this. i have checked the readme for the gunnery crews and found no help on this:
i have had this working on my TL a few days ago. however why is it now, that whenever i select "gunnery crew to action stations" nothin changes is the turret status? (even though i got the command accepted sound)
i know the turret status does change as i have seen it before.
is this because the status doesnt change untill they go into battle? or is there a problem?
another question is. when buying the correct amount of crew, for a Mammoth for example. the readme says 5 crew per turret. a Mammoth has the main front turret and 3 others (left, right and rear) does this mean i need 20 crew altogether or just 15 crew. for the 3 turrets? sorry if this seems a stupid question.
thanks in advance

ok so i need 15 crew and not 20? if thats the case i have 5 too many. hehehe
thanks for clearing that up.
ok one down, one to go
with regards to the crew status. i have discovered that the turret status does not change (even when you get the command accepted aknowledgement) unless YOU are piloting the specific craft which you are issuing the order to.
well thats wot i noticed anywayz. the status changes immediatly if i am flyin my TL. but, if i issue an order while im flyin something else the turret status does not change at all!
any ideas why???

that maybe true, but they also do require extra crews for it to work on top of the crews for the turretsNavaCorp wrote:Believe me: Gunnery/AEGIS manages ONLY turrets, not front guns (those that you fire with the fire button).Maverick01 wrote:ok. still confused

Hi Cycrow support crew are not required for a TL.
From the read-me in the bonus pack;
M3 - ie Nova - 1 for the turret
TS/TP - 2 for the turrets
M6 - 3 per turret
TL - not Teladi - 5 per turret
TL - Teladi - 15 per turret
M1 - 20 support plus 5 per turret
M2 - 30 support plus 10 per turret
There was a time I knew that without having to refer to the read-me....

You probably can issue the order anywhere, but they work only when they are in the same sector as you are.
There is no point for them to work OOS, because all they do would only decrease the effectiveness of the ship. OOS combat resolution is entirely different from in sector combat resolution. Different rules.
